Pastor Stephen Feinstein

We support missionary work in our country through the North American Mission Board. Sovereign Way is blessed to send one of its own pastors as a missionary to the United States Army Reserves as a chaplain. His mission is to bring God to the soldiers and to bring the soldiers to God. CH (MAJ) Stephen Feinstein swore his oath in 2008 and has been serving faithfully since 2009. His Army education is fairly extensive with the following graduations: Chaplain Basic Officer Leadership Course (2010); Chaplain Captain Career Course (2011); Major Functionality Course (2015); Command and General Staff School—Intermediate Level Education (2019). He holds the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. The video below showcases CH Feinstein’s Army ministry.

India

We support a pastor from India. Due to the persecution of Christians in India, we are keeping his identity from being publicly published. Please pray for the gospel to spread in India.

Pius Muzingu

Kampala, Uganda

Pius was saved after a providential gospel encounter with a then-stranger from Grace Community Church. Since then, Pius has been faithfully built up and edified at Grace Church, and received his pastoral training at The Master’s Seminary.

God has given Pius an absolute passion for proclaiming God’s Word, especially to the lost through evangelism, and his heart is to return to his native country of Uganda as a missionary, to spread the “good news” of Jesus Christ within Kampala, the capital city of Uganda.

The location where Pius is planning to plant a church and training center is strategically located within walking distance of four major universities, which educate people from all over Uganda and even the rest of Africa.

Pius’s desire is for these students to be saved, brought to spiritual maturity during their time in Kampala, and then trained to be missionaries to their own villages, towns, and cities upon their return home. Local outreach to Kampala residents would also be a key priority.

Pius’ solid doctrinal foundation and intimate understanding of the language and culture of one of the largest, fastest-growing populations in Africa provide a unique opportunity for partnership.

Lotti Moon Christmas Offering

Every Church. Every Nation.

It’s more than a catch phrase. It’s at the core of what we do. We believe every church—and every church member—has a critical role to play in bringing the gospel to the world. This is why we participate in the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering. Sovereign Way gives to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering so that IMB missionaries can take the gospel to unreached peoples around the world. Every dollar we give makes a difference, because 100% of the money collected goes to the work of reaching every nation.

In the 1800s, a missionary named Lottie Moon wrote letters from China urging American churches to fund more overseas workers. After Lottie’s death on the mission field, an offering was started in her name. The offering was established to empower international missions efforts for Southern Baptists.

Operation Shoebox

Every Christmas SWCC participates in the Samaratain’s Purse Operation Christmas Child where we set a goal of how many boxes we will be sending overseas to children that are waiting to hear about the love of Jesus. In addition to hearing the Gospel before they receive their shoebox gift, children also receive The Greatest Gift, a storybook that shares the message of salvation. With the Apostle John as narrator, the booklet shares 11 Scripture stories and invites children to follow Christ. Children take this home to share with family and friends. It is used in more than 80 languages.
